Kund Indian Barbeque, Indiranagar: How Bangalore's Oldest North Indian Kitchen Found Its Digital Voice

Kund Indian Barbeque, Indiranagar: How Bangalore's Oldest North Indian Kitchen Found Its Digital Voice
Some restaurants don't need to announce themselves. Kund Indian Barbeque at Indiranagar's 5th Main Road has been filling tables since 2003 on the strength of its food alone. Regulars have been going for over a decade without ever writing a review. That kind of loyalty is earned, not marketed. Studio Happens came in to build a digital presence that finally matches the quality coming out of their tandoor.
What Kund actually is
Kund is not a themed restaurant trying to replicate North Indian food. It is the real thing: a kitchen running the same recipes, the same tandoor, and the same approach since 2003. Over 21 years in one neighbourhood with the same customers coming back is a harder achievement than most restaurant marketing will ever deliver.
The decor is straightforward. The food is not. Kund serves the kind of North Indian cooking Bangalore does not have enough of.
What to order
The tandoor is the heart of the menu. Tandoori Chicken comes whole (8 pieces, Rs 525) or half (4 pieces, Rs 325), and it is the kind that reminds you what the dish is supposed to taste like when it comes from someone who has been making it for two decades. On the kebab side, the Murgh Malai Tikka, Murgh Banjara Kebab, and Murgh Lasooni Kebab (each Rs 285) are consistently ordered. For vegetarians, the Soya Chaap and Paneer Tikka (Rs 250) have a following of their own.
The main course is where Kund's depth shows up. Daal Makhani, Kadhai Paneer (Rs 265), Paneer Butter Masala (Rs 285), Gosht Lababdaar (Rs 355), and Mutton Seekh Kebab (Rs 325) are each worth the trip. The Masala Kulcha that comes alongside deserves its own mention.
If you finish with Gajar ka Halwa, you are doing it right.
Beyond the restaurant
Kund also runs catering services and North Indian tandoor lunch boxes, serving offices, events, and homes in Indiranagar. The kitchen opens at 9AM on weekdays, which explains the lunch crowd that found them before most of Bangalore did.
Where Studio Happens comes in
Kund had 21 years of loyal customers and a digital footprint that did not reflect any of it. Their food had a reputation. Google could not find it.
Studio Happens built out their web presence at kundbarbeque.com and took on their ongoing digital marketing. The work is not about changing what Kund is. It is about making sure that someone in Bangalore searching for authentic North Indian food, tandoori chicken, or catering in Indiranagar can actually find a restaurant that has been delivering exactly that since 2003.
